Yesterday was busy as we went to London for several things! The first thing was afternoon tea at the Waldorf Astoria hotel which was lovely as it's one of our favourite venues and we've not been there since before all the C19 shenanigans!  It was yummy! Under the cut for details.

Thursday was a work day. I had a free day and the bellydance mentor had been in touch on Wednesday, but I put her off until Thursday as I was busy. So yesterday I was rounding up dancers so we can sort out an online dance show (Hafla) at the end of the month. Mr Cee had the day off today and we went up to visit 2 Temple Place not far from Covent Garden and the Strand in London.  I was pleased to get free tickets for the first day it's re-opened since the very first lockdown last year in March when it closed it's doors.  The house was built by William Waldorf Astor in 1895 and I learned all about it on ( Read more... )

All the snow disappeared overnight and now we have a drizzly day and 11C/51F after more than a week of sub zero temperatures.

Yesterday we treated ourselves to an 'at home' afternoon tea from the Sherlock Holmes 'Game Is Now' experience. This is usually an escape room game you can hire in London, and they have been doing guided and self guided ( Read more... )
